CISO as a Service delivers executive leadership in information security and privacy, tailored to the size and stage of your business and backed by the Alliances technical team.
CISO as a Service means hiring an experienced chief information security officer (CISO) as a service, with commitment adjusted to your reality. Thus, the company has someone accountable for the security and privacy program, without the cost and delay of recruiting a full-time CISO.
Personal data governance, incident notification and penalties require an accountable owner with authority and method.
One compromised email or an account without MFA can stop operations within hours.
Security questionnaires, contracts, cyber insurance and audits ask for evidence, not promises.
Security leadership joins your management routine, with the Alliances technical team behind it.
Takes charge of the company security and privacy program.
Joins decisions and turns technical risk into business impact.
Gives IT, vendors, legal and HR clear priorities.
Coordinates the response when an incident happens.
Security policy, standards, roles, RACI matrix and security committee.
Asset inventory, risk matrix, risk appetite and treatment plan.
Data mapping, impact assessments and DPO support.
MFA, SSO, least privilege and access reviews.
Playbooks, crisis plan and team coordination.
Training and phishing simulations.
The program moves through the NIST CSF 2.0 functions over four quarters, with a decision milestone with leadership at the end of each phase.
Months 1 to 3
Milestone 1: roadmap and policies approved
Months 4 to 6
Milestone 2: privileged access and tested backup
Months 7 to 9
Milestone 3: incident plan tested
Months 10 to 12
Milestone 4: annual review and year-2 plan
These services run from the first to the last month. For this reason, the program becomes a management routine, not a project that ends.
Ten indicators make up the monthly report. Targets for each are set at the end of the assessment, based on the current profile of the company.
Monthly commitment and investment are defined in the proposal, after the assessment, according to the scope and size of the company.
| Criterion | Full-time hired CISO | Alliances CISO as a Service |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | Executive salary, payroll costs, benefits and recruiting | Predictable monthly fee, no payroll costs |
| Start | Months of recruiting and onboarding | Fast, from the kickoff |
| Breadth | One person | CISO plus infrastructure, identity, privacy and support team |
| Flexibility | Fixed cost | Commitment adjustable to each phase |
| Continuity | Risk of losing the key person | Documented knowledge and a support team |
The CISO relies on tools and on the Alliances team. In addition, each client has its own GRC environment, keeping risks, assets, policies and evidence separate.
The technical team also looks after your company IT infrastructure and IT support.
NDA, access and priority documents.
Identity, networks, logs, backup and secure configuration.
Interviews, policies, contracts and incidents.
Ranking by impact and likelihood and a prioritized plan.
Deliverable: maturity report, risk map and 12-month roadmap.
You do not need to have everything ready. A document that does not exist is also a finding, and it goes into the roadmap.
Maturity assessment and a 12-month roadmap guided by NIST CSF 2.0, focused on privileged identity, separation between clients and privacy duties as a data processor.
Google Workspace security checkup based on NIST, a master plan, a risk register and policies on a GRC platform.
Client names are kept confidential.
It is hiring an experienced CISO as a service. The CISO owns the security and privacy program, talks to leadership and coordinates incident response. Thus, the company gets mature leadership without hiring a full-time executive.
The initial assessment takes about 30 days and ends with the risk map and the 12-month roadmap. After that, the program moves to the monthly routine with leadership.
It can replace or complement one. In companies without a CISO, it takes over the program. In companies with a security team, it brings method, governance and support to leadership.
Monthly commitment and investment are defined in the proposal, after the assessment, according to size and scope. There are three plans: Essential, Professional and Executive.
We use NIST CSF 2.0 as the maturity yardstick, CIS v8.1 controls and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 for management. We also follow LGPD. See the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and ISO/IEC 27001.
Read-only, in named accounts with MFA and an expiry date. We do not ask for write access or access to database contents.
Use the button on the page or the Alliances contact page. Then, a specialist will reply with the next steps.
